Eleven Months

We can't believe it's only a month until Ezra turns ONE! His birthday party is scheduled and planning is in process. I mean, I know he was early, but where does the time go?

At eleven months, Ezra is

  • 28.75" long (65th %ile adjusted, 25th actual) - gain of half an inch this month
  • 18.2lb (23rd %ile adjusted, 11th actual) - gain of 0.6lb this month
He is wearing 12 month clothes. For the companies that do 6-12 and 12-18, he's kind of in between.

His "vocabulary" has really expanded this month. He's not saying any words yet, but he has added some sounds - he likes to say "tsss" and "ishhh" and "ffff," which are new, as well as saying dadadadada a lot (but it doesn't mean Daddy yet). He also waves hello. And he says "mmm!" when he is eating.

We went to the beach last month with Ross's family (I need to post about that!) and Ezra learned to pull up to a standing position on the coffee table there.

He is a busy little guy, and has been working on his cruising skills.

I even saw him get down from the couch today (with a little help from the pack-n-play which is right there).

We finally got a high chair for him this month, and it seems like his eating has really been helped by having it. He eats whatever we're eating at this point. He figured out his sippy cup.
Sippy cup / eating / "Mmm!"

He has developed his pincer grasp. That's great when it comes to feeding himself; not so great when it comes to pinching us all the time. He often fights us on diaper changes. And laughs at us when we tell him "no." He can really be a handful sometimes!

Good thing he's a handful of CUTENESS.

Also, today he thought it was hilarious when I said "poop."
