We barely slept last night, but that didn't deter us from celebrating Ezra's first Thanksgiving!
We have a lot to be thankful for this year: among many other things, for the excellent doctors and nurses who quite literally saved both my life and Ezra's, for health insurance that covers that care, for the many wonderful people who sent meals, cards, and gifts during the last two months, and for having Ezra home.
Usually we spend Thanksgiving with Ross's family in Indiana or Ohio, but since we obviously couldn't make it this year, we enjoyed traveling all of 20 minutes to have Thanksgiving dinner with our dear friend-family, the Rempels. We ate all the delicious Thanksgiving foods and then watched a movie. Ezra's adoring public was pretty ecstatic to have him present, though he mostly just slept. (Better a sleeping baby than a crying one!) We're already looking forward to next Thanksgiving with the Lehmans though... Ezra has four cousins who are not much older than him and it should be so much fun to have them all together.
