Asher - 1 year

Asher is 1! 

Here are pictures from his birthday party, as well as his 12 month photo shoot.

At his 12 month checkup, he weighed 19.0lb and was 28" long. 

He is in 12-18m clothes, or 18m onesies and usually still 12m pants. Shoes are size 4.

We had his birthday party on March 19 at our house. It was camping/bear themed for our Asher Bear! All of Asher's semi-local Lehman family attended, as well as a few of our neighbors. Unfortunately, Aunt Grace couldn't make it because she moved to Oregon earlier in the week. We miss you, Grace!

Asher had snuck a few bites of sweets before his birthday cake, so he already knew he loved chocolate. Just had to make sure that's what it was!

Asher is such a delightful little one-year-old. He gives the best hugs. He loves to rub his face into soft fabric, like the tent he got for his birthday, or when I'm folding wraps or towels. He thinks bubbles are wonderful. Ezra loves to make him laugh.

Asher is really into eating frozen yogurt tubes, and he's surprisingly not very messy with them. We discovered on our plane ride to Colorado in early March that he also likes Chex cereal, but not the rest of Chex mix.

Asher crawls and cruises. He can stand without support, but only until he realizes he's doing it. I'm writing this post the day after he turned 13 months, actually, and he just stood for about 10 seconds today. He's a nimble climber and is very deliberate and graceful with his movements, so while it surprises me that he hasn't started walking yet, I suspect he will be very good at it when he does.

And as of 13 months old, Asher has said mama, dada, nurse, hi, bath, bubbles, kisses, and night-night.
